Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) offers career-training programs in numerous technical, industrial and medical fields at a reasonable cost, going so far as to even waive tuition for certain eligible students.

Located in Richlands, Virginia, SWCC offers associate's degrees in such fields as business, education, general studies, liberal arts and science.

These degrees are primarily intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year university. SWCC also has associate degrees that feature programs intended to lead directly to a career in fields such as Nursing, Radiography and Administration of Justice.

Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Campus Shuttle Bus Driver.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students, faculty, staff, and visitors around the college campus in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities :

Safe Operation of Shuttle Bus : Drive designated routes on campus while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Maintain a high level of attentiveness and awareness to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other vehicles.

• Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service to passengers by assisting with boarding and disembarking, answering questions about routes and schedules, and addressing any concerns or issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Schedule Adherence : Follow designated schedules and routes to ensure timely arrival and departure at designated stops.

Communicate any delays or deviations from the schedule to passengers and campus transportation authorities as necessary.

Record-Keeping : Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including passenger counts, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

Front Desk Attendant for Student Advising Center : Serve as point of contact for students and / or visitors entering Buchanan Hall lobby.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's / Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
